Like the many bridges on the Francés, the Camino de Santiago was a connection for me in more ways than I ever thought possible. As I wrote Camino Sunrise, more “bridges” appeared, enhancing my appreciation of the trekking experience.
So, I ask, what connection do you most treasure from your Camino?
Books and my backpack 
The connection with my family. My oldest grandson and I walked the first four weeks together and I saw a young man who made friends easily and cared. He shared decision making. The last week of our walk included his girlfriend, two granddaughters, my son and my daughter. The joy of sharing their excitement and watching them care for each other was the greatest connection for me.

Being 24/7 with my husband doing what we like most, walking. Have a simple routine away from bad news and meeting a bunch of nice people. And the food, of course the food was great.
