You’re welcome! Thank you! There is a sand prairie in southeastern Minnesota, formed by the Zumbro River flowing into the Mississippi River. It is a pretty exciting place ecologically. At one point it was farmed but now some of it (as early as the 1980’s) has been restored to prairie or at the very least taken out of agricultural production. I am trying to capture the history of it; how people have interacted with the landscape and changed it. Using my personal explorations of the area to take the readers there. I have explained it so many times and still haven’t found a good way to describe it. It definitely is challenging but rewarding. I have learned so much and have grown as a person as I have step out of my comfort zone to interview the locals. Writing is vital to my well being.
