The Way of St. Francis: Nap Time

Has your backpack ever become your pillow? In the Tuscan countryside, while walking the Way of St. Francis, a tough hill and warm sun put me on my back for a restorative nap. My 260-mile trek to the Vatican will be one of four European distance walks featured in my second book, coming soon.

  1. Looking forward to reading your book. I’ll be following The Way if St Francis on my Conqueror challenge virtual route in September while I walk St Oswald’s Way and St Cuthbert’s Way. I hope to walk the actual way in the next couple of years

  2. Wait. The Way of Saint Francis??? I’ve done portions of the Camino de Santiago a few times but I’ve NEVER heard of the Way of St. Francis before! I’m going to have to check it out. Which one have you liked more?

    1. It is a great, but tough walk…in Italy. A pilgrimage, lightly traveled. You can watch the short slide show on my website. We blogged about it on carryoncouple.com
We have loved all our treks…tough to choose a favorite.

      1. Ha. Well I’m partial to Spain since it’s my birthplace but still, I absolutely want to check out this pilgrimage. Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll definitely check out your website tomorrow.
